About me

Alexander Lazovik, Professor of Distributed Systems at the University of Groningen since 2009, specializes in AI, optimization in distributed environments, cloud computing, and scalable IT infrastructures. He earned his Ph.D. from the University of Trento in 2006 on the topic of Interaction with Service Compositions, followed by IBM Research (US) and ERCIM fellowship at CWI (NL) and INRIA (FR). He is a co-founder of Sustainable Buildings, a company focusing on energy optimization algorithms.
