As the Cloud Native Computing Foundation (CNCF) celebrates its 10th anniversary in 2025, we reflect on a decade of transformative growth in the cloud-native ecosystem which has reshaped how organizations build, deploy, and scale applications. From Kubernetes’ rise to the explosion of the cloud native ecosystem and landscape, CNCF has played a pivotal role in fostering open-source collaboration. However, this journey has not been without challenges—balancing innovation with stability, addressing security concerns in an era of increasing and emerging threats, and navigating the complexity of a rapidly evolving technology landscape.
In this keynote, we’ll explore how CNCF has tackled these challenges over the last decade and the lessons learned. We’ll also focus on the next decade: How will CNCF adapt to the changing tech landscape? What steps are being taken to simplify cloud-native adoption for developers and enterprises? And how can the community work together to ensure sustainability, security, and scalability in a cloud-driven world?
