AI is growing fast, but it presents unique security challenges, from sophisticated prompt attacks and data leaks to the financial risks of unconstrained model usage. Traditional API gateways aren’t built for the unique demands of AI workloads, but we've discovered an interesting approach with load balancers. They’re fast, flexible, and work well at the edge, which is ideal for securing AI systems.

In this talk, we’ll show how we can use AI to secure AI. Examples include detecting sensitive data, blocking abuse, dynamic routing, and protecting against jailbreaks. We can handle this processing using AI tools and real-time filtering at the edge.

This demonstration isn’t a complete solution, and challenges still exist. We’re testing and learning to develop best practices for AI security.
